The Five Forks Water Treatment Facility will produce 5 MGD (18,939 M#/D) of potable water from brackish groundwater wells. Phase 1 includes two 1.25 MGD (4,735 M3/D) trains, prereatment and post treatment equipment, control systems and a cleaning system. Phase 2 which produces another 2.5 MGD (9,470 M3/D) was brought on line Fall of 2006. The plant was awarded AWWA plant of the year for 2006.
